The day was alot of fun and was indeed meaningful to the interact members who participated in this community service.
We have brought along bags full of clothes, books, stationaries, and drinks for donation purposes.
The moment we stepped into the Orphanage, about 6 to 7 children out of 31 of them came running towards us, welcoming us into the house. That moment was memorable and realy touching actually.
They then brought us to their bedrooms, music room, living room and around the house getting all excited.
The children there were so active and playful that it it seemed almost impossible for them to calm down.
To get them cooled down, we distributed Yakult which Yen Ling had brought along. We could tell how much they loved it...
Yen Ling, our Community Service Director, played a number of songs for the children while they sang and danced. We also played other games, like pepsicola, catch, etc...
Then, the time for us too leave soon arrived. It was sad, but i hope the children there enjoyed having us around. What's to feel bad for anyways? We'll be back someday!! =D
